Singapore Airlines is once again raising the bar for premium travel.
The airline has announced a major S$45 million (approximately US$34 million) investment to transform its lounges in Terminal 2 of Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).
This upgrade is designed to significantly enhance the on-the-ground experience for travelers, bringing the same level of excellence seen in the flagship Singapore Airlines lounges at Terminal 3.
Renovations will begin on April 15, 2025, and will take place in phases over the next two years. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
During this time, Singapore Airlines will fully redesign its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges, expanding capacity, improving comfort, and introducing new features for travelers across cabin classes.
Bigger, Better, And More Comfortable
The upgraded lounges will be 50 percent larger, offering much more space and seating for customers. This is a direct response to increased demand and evolving expectations.
Travelers can look forward to a modern, airy environment with high-end finishes and thoughtful design that mirrors the luxurious feel of the Terminal 3 lounges.
Each lounge will also include enhanced food and beverage options, quiet areas for rest, and updated technology to support productivity.

One of the standout changes will be to the First Class SilverKris Lounge.
Scheduled to open in late 2025, this new space will feature high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows for a bright, open feel. The renovated lounge will also include a full-service bar with barista-prepared coffee in the mornings and a selection of cocktails in the evenings.
Food lovers will enjoy live cooking stations offering freshly made Singaporean, Asian, and Western dishes.
There will also be an expanded self-service buffet, designed to reflect the dining experience already available in the Terminal 3 First Class lounge.

For Business Class travelers, the SilverKris Lounge will grow by 30 percent. This expansion will allow for a more spacious and comfortable environment, complete with a new quiet area featuring recliners for rest between flights.
A redesigned living room space will include several types of seating, such as wingback chairs, sofa seating, and productivity pods, giving travelers the flexibility to work, relax, or dine as they prefer.
A new full-service bar will serve fresh coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Like the First Class lounge, this space will also offer an expanded buffet with both Asian and Western cuisine.

Elite members flying in Economy Class or Premium Economy will also see major improvements.
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double in size, adding more seating and better amenities. There will be lounge chairs, dining areas, and workstations.
For added comfort, the upgraded lounge will include restrooms and private shower suites so travelers can freshen up before departure.
Final Thoughts
Singapore Airlines is known for its premium in-flight service, and this investment shows it is equally focused on delivering excellence on the ground.
These renovations will ensure that travelers enjoy a seamless experience from check-in to boarding, with luxurious spaces to relax, eat, or work.
Construction will be carefully phased to limit disruption.
Work on the First Class SilverKris Lounge begins in April 2025, followed by the Business Class lounge in late 2025 and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in the first half of 2026.
For travelers passing through Terminal 2 over the next few years, the experience is about to get even more impressive.
With this investment, Singapore Airlines continues to lead the way in airport hospitality, blending comfort, convenience, and style at one of the world’s top airports.
