Winter is coming. We all know it. It is unavoidable… or is it! I think it is time we learn a lesson from our feathery friends and head south for the winter! While there are many amazing locations in Latin America and the Caribbean, Mexico stands out as the perfect option. The country is home to the beach resort cities of Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas. In the December and January months, the weather hovers between 70 – 85 °F (20 – 29 °C). A perfect compliment to the perfect weather are the incredible hotels, which offer unbelievable value. Countless redemption options exist across the major hotel chains, but the Hyatt properties stand out.

The Best Value Hyatt Redemptions in Mexico

The Hyatt portfolio in Mexico currently consist of 32 properties across the Hyatt and Small Luxury Hotels brands. Nearly 70% of all Hyatt properties offer positive value point redemption opportunities. This is more than any other major hotel brand in Mexico. The five best redemption opportunities provide a mix of all-inclusive as well as family oriented and adults only options.

Final Thoughts

While the top five redemptions trend towards all-inclusive offerings, multiple Hyatt properties offer great value. However, the main financial benefit of an all-inclusive resort is the inclusion of food in the initial payment. Often, food costs for couples or families runs into the hundreds of dollars per day at luxury resorts. This “savings” enhances the value proposition. Furthermore, a useful, general benefit of a rewards booking is the lack of resort fees. Not paying resort fees often saves hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Of course the biggest challenge remains earning enough World of Hyatt points or free nights certificates!
